Shepherd’s Huts Norfolk: 8 Beautiful Places to Stay

Godwick Shepherd’s Hut

“Schlamping is the new glamping at Godwick.” They have three shepherd huts tucked into a small glade behind Godwick Hall, all with unspoilt countryside views. Close to nature, rustic but with modern ensuite facilities, these are cute and well designed. One of the huts is dog friendly.

This is my favourite and definitely on the list for when I finally do a Norfolk road trip (one of these beautiful UK road trips).

What the guests say: “We had a lovely stay in this tranquil place. The views in the morning and no traffic sound make it a perfect place to relax and switch off from everyday life. The hut itself is equipped in anything you need.

We especially loved the log burner which was more than enough to keep the hut warm and cozy. The host, James, was very helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend and hope we can visit again next year (maybe earlier than this time, so we can enjoy a drink outside the hut).”

What the guests say: “A perfect hideaway in a beautiful setting overlooking a fishing lake. The traditional yet modern shepherds hut has been carefully finished to provide everything you need.

The large seating area on the deck was even better than expected and really cosy in the evening with the fire pit lit. The enormous hot tub was the icing on the cake! I would definitely recommend a stay here and I hope to return next summer.”
