I’m in mega planning mode, trying to get everything in order before this little creature wriggling around inside of me makes their way into the world.
One of the things I’m working on is the direction of this blog. Bridges and Balloons has always been as much about my personal journey as travel, filled with tips and stories from the places I go, as well as the ups and downs of life. And those elements will always be a part of it.
But, when I started the blog, I was travelling full-time. Nowadays, after slowly slowing down, the travel part of my life is less all-encompassing. I still travel often, both in the UK and abroad, and Steve and I intend to continue to do so when the little one arrives. But there are other things I’m interested in exploring.
I’d like to write about some of the more everyday things that make up my life – the issues I care for, the people I admire, the home and family we’re making, and the life I live. Travel will always be a headline feature of my life and therefore this blog, but I’m thinking of peppering Bridges and Balloons with more, for want of a better word, lifestyle stuff.

But, before I do that, I’d really like to know what you all think of Bridges and Balloons as it is, and what you’d be interested in reading more or less of in the future. If more lifestyle/baby posts are a resounding no, then I’ll stick to how it is.
So, if you can spare a few minutes, I’d really appreciate it if you could fill in this little survey about the blog. As a little thank you, everyone who fills it out and leaves their email will be entered into a prize draw to win a £30 gift voucher (for Amazon or a retailer of your choice). I will close entries to the prize draw on Thursday 5 October.
Thank you so much in advance! You’ll be really helping me out.
