The most stylish Airbnbs in Laguna Beach, CA
Historic Laguna Beach Home
Built in 1913, this Laguna Beach house is right across the street from Heisler Park. The large house can accommodate at least eight guests, with four bedrooms, two of which are located in a separate house at the back, with lots of privacy. Newly renovated, this charming house has plenty of character with a brick fireplace, ocean views and – my favourite – a porch and balcony for enjoying those sunny days and nights.
What the guests say: “We felt like we were at home with plenty of space and everything you need to be comfortable. The great room was a nice family gathering place to visit and watch the beautiful sunsets.
“Heisler Park is across the street and is a spectacular park and beach where you can snorkel, scuba dive or take paddle board lessons. We walked or took the trolley to many local Laguna Beach entries and art galleries. Doug and Amy were fabulous hosts from check in to check out.”
Beach Villa Apartment
This cozy villa has a cute patio that looks onto the beach. Surrounded by tropical plants, the patio is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink on balmy summer evenings. The interiors are decorated in muted tones with bright pops of jewelled blue, mirroring the colour of the sea. Enjoy mountain and beach views, and a dip in the shared pool.
What the guests say: “My husband and I had a great time at this gorgeous, clean, spacious and perfectly located Airbnb! We loved the decor, comfortable bed, full kitchen, and cute seating areas to enjoy our evening wine. We loved the peaceful walk to town and the beach (less than 10 minutes!) and the friendly neighborhood. Sandy was an amazing host and we are so happy to have found this gem!”
Sea Breeze Cottage
This charming, buttercup yellow cottage is pretty as a picture, framed by a leafy flower garden at the front. Generous sized interiors, open-plan living and lofty ceilings create a bright and breezy space. Conveniently located near to the village centre and beaches, the cottage is sheltered on a quiet street, away from the noise and bustle.
What the guests say: “Great location, a short walk from the beaches and shops. Lovely fragrant small back garden with fun bird cage. House was well stocked and worked well for a family of 5 (small kids). Ronnie was very responsive and helpful.”
Manzanita Red Cottage
Exposed beams and Spanish-style fireplaces make for a cosy realm in this characterful cottage. It’s decorated in swathes of bright, cheery colours and has all the creature comforts, including a full kitchen, serene bedroom with comfortable bed and Adirondack chairs on the outdoor grassy lawn, for some rest and relaxation. There’s even a wishing well in the garden, for that added touch of whimsy.
What the guests say: “A gorgeous Airbnb – rustic, charming and beautiful. Loved Laguna Beach and the cottage was in walking distance to beach and downtown. Thank you for a lovely stay. “
Blue Beach Cottage
Blue Beach Cottage is a stylish spot with pops of blue and yellow against a pristine white backdrop. Ceiling fans in each room, exposed beams, soft furnishings, comfortable beds and sofas make for a comfy stay. And a substantial outdoor seating area is the perfect place to dine alfresco and enjoy time with family and friends.
What the guests say: “We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Blue Beach House in Laguna Beach. Very modern and comfortable, and we loved the garden for our barbecues. We also loved being so close to the beach. This was the perfect end to our California road trip and we will definitely be back! The instructions were so easy to follow and the house was really welcoming.”
Villa Laguna
Villa Laguna is an exceptional beach villa with unparalleled views of the ocean from the upstair’s bedroom. This is the perfect place to wake up and sip on a cup of freshly brewed coffee, enjoy the refreshing breeze and drink in those sea views. The house has a modern, sophisticated interior, wooden floors and is very spacious, with easy access to all the sights and sounds of Laguna Beach.
What the guests say: “Stylish, comfortable and spacious home close to Wood’s Cove beach. Very easy access to all the amenities of Laguna Beach. A free regular trolley bus runs daily up and down PCH to Laguna Beach. Tina provides everything you need for your holiday including deckchairs, parasol and toys for the beach. A perfect base for families!”
Casa Laguna Hotel and Spa
It’s on Airbnb but this one’s actually a hotel. The historic Casa Laguna Hotel and Spa, dates back to the 1920s. Recently renovated in a style that is a blend of Moorish and Spanish influences, the rooms have every comfort, from a 40-inch flatscreen TV to soft bathrobes, and a minibar from Dean and Deluca. Also enjoy a complimentary breakfast, a heated outdoor pool and the luxury of the spa overlooking the Pacific.
I’d love to stay here on our next US road trip.
What the guests say: “The cutest boutique hotel. The very best customer experience. We arrived and they gave us a welcome drink. Clean, great design. Husband and I were super happy. We’ll be back again.”
Laguna Beach Lodge
Another hotel for the list. This 1950’s classic motor lodge has been converted into a boutique style hotel. The hotel offers small studio apartments with all the advantages of a hotel, including an on-site pool. The room is beautifully decorated with lush green wall accents, plush furnishings, pampering products and a small kitchenette.
What the guests say: “Great location, super cute and clean space, and so many thoughtful amenities! Such a perfect space for a family, with lots of storage. Chris even brought us a coloring book and colored pencils for the kids when we checked in. We loved the ample fridge and freezer space and the complimentary beach gear.
“The walk across the street and through the Montage property isn’t too far (10 mins or less)- but worth it because the beach is stunningly beautiful, and the prettiest we’ve been to in Laguna. The pool at the hotel was also great and the perfect temperature. Overall such a great stay, we will be back! Thanks!”
Laguna Beach Cabana
Lofty ceilings, four poster beds, log walls and a romantic ambience make up this dreamy beach cabana, near several Laguna beaches. Cozy up indoors near the stone fireplace on a wet day. Or enjoy the privacy of a personal deck and listen to the crash of waves on the shore.
Although there is no kitchen, there’s a microwave, mini-refrigerator and a coffee machine to keep you refreshed, plus many nearby restaurants and bars.
What the guests say: “Warm comfortable space in a secluded Laguna neighborhood. Steps to a beautiful private beach. If you’re looking for a tranquil space with nice ocean breezes this is it!”
